Metal heat treating has been a critical aspect in the manufacturing of parts for many decades. Heat treating is often used to change the physical and sometimes chemical characteristics of metallic material. Solution Annealing 

Solution annealing (or otherwise known as solution treating) has been successfully utilized with a variety of different metals, including stainless steel and nickel based, aluminum, copper and titanium alloys. The goal of solution annealing is to remove precipitates in the metal in order to convert the material into a single phase structure. At the completion of the process, the metal is quickly quenched down to room temperature to avoid any precipitation from occurring. 

Annealing Heat Treating 

Used to treat stainless steel, this process takes place under very exacting conditions. Crystal defects that can cause internal stresses are removed, which softens the metal. The second step is the nucleation and growth of strain free grains. Protective, inert atmospheres are utilized in order to prevent scaling, oxygenation and decarburization.  Production furnaces are used during the annealing operation. Stainless steel that has been annealed has reduced tensile strength, hardness and residual stresses. 

Induction Hardening Process 

Stanron Steel Specialties has extensive experience in the process of induction hardening for sprockets, gears and other metal parts. Our equipment is automated and can easily handle your high volume production needs. 


Our services include furnace brazing and assembly of components made from carbon and alloy steels, nickel alloys, aluminum, copper and stainless steel. We can also arrange atmospheres of disassociated ammonia, hydrogen and exothermic. Paste or wire pre forms can be used with nickel, copper, nicro and silver brazing.
